Details of Chemical Calculator 6.0 Software

  • This is the main screen. The starting reagent can be either a solution, a solid, or a liquid. If it is a solution it will work with either molar (i.e. mM) or weight (i.e. mg/ml or %) solutions.  If other data, such as molecular weight (MW) or density, are needed they will be shaded blue-green.
  • The user simply enters the data for the desired solution and starting reagents and clicks on the Calculate button.
  • A built in database stores the names, molecular weights, etc. of over 400 common reagents. Users can add data to the database or recall molecular weights with a click of the mouse. No more looking up molecular weights before doing calculations.
  • A printout can be made or results can be pasted to other applications.
