Example 2
This example will demonstrate some more features of Chemical Calculator.
Example 2) You want to make 500 ml of 0.1 M HCl starting from
concentrated HCl (36%).
(Follow the steps in the screen shot below.)
Step A: Type "HCl" in the
Starting Reagent box.
Step B: Click on Find MW.
(MW = Molecular Weight)

Step C: Click anywhere on the row for "HCl" then on the
OK button.

Step D: In the Starting Reagent
box click on Solution and enter "36%".
Step E: In the Desired Solution
box click on Solution and enter "0.1M".
Step F: Enter "500 ml" for Final
Volume.
Step G: Click the Calculate
button, and read the results.
Step H: (Optional) Click on Print
for a paper copy.
